Alder has appointed Ben Griffiths as a specialist partner. Griffiths has a combined 20 years of experience at News UK and Reach PLC, leading news and features teams at some of the country’s biggest-selling newspapers, latterly as The Sun’s executive features editor.
During this time he was at the centre of some of the biggest stories of the last two decades, including the London Olympics, terror attacks both in the capital and Manchester, and latterly the Covid-19 pandemic.
Griffiths has recently launched news and features agency First Story Media, bringing additional proactive PR skills to crisis and reputation-focused Alder.
Tim Toulmin, managing director of Alder, said: “Ben’s experiences gives him a unique understanding of the media industry, the news cycle and how best to manage a story. Thanks to this and his strong network of contacts, Alder can now offer clients a first-class opportunity to tell their stories proactively in addition to our traditional crisis specialism.”
