World AIDS Day 2021: Alder supports National HIV Story Trust
Alder has extensive experience of advising organisations through times of crisis. Last week, we had a slightly different opportunity – lending our support to a charity dedicated to remembering one of the greatest crises of the last century – the AIDS epidemic of the 80s and 90s.
The National HIV Story Trust‘s new book Love, Loss & Life is a collection of essays, reflections and passionate testimonies about 40 years of HIV/AIDS, from contributors including Rupert Everett, Lord Fowler, Professor Jane Anderson and many more.
The book focuses on a crucial question, one with particular resonance in the present context of living through a very different but also very dreadful pandemic; what can we learn from those who have gone before us? Find out more about the new publication, including how to buy it, on the NHST’s website.
Tim Toulmin, managing director of Alder, said: “Four decades on from the first diagnosis of HIV/AIDS, this terrible condition and virus continue to affect people across the world. We were proud to support this unique, volunteer-led charity by sponsoring its book launch event on November 22nd – its important, poignant work will ensure lessons are learned and memories preserved.”
