Matthew McClelland

Matthew specialises in advising boards and executives on the culture, behaviours, and practices that enable good governance and long-term strategic success, drawing on his background as a senior regulator, strategist, and governance expert. 

Matthew previously held executive roles at a statutory regulator of health and care professionals, where he led major governance, regulatory, and operational change programmes. Prior to that, he worked in higher education, primarily as a governance specialist. Matthew has more than 20 years’ experience helping boards and executives to navigate uncertainty, resolve complex strategic issues, and deliver strategic outcomes.
