Dee Cowburn

Dee is a crisis communications specialist with nearly two decades’ experience supporting senior leaders across policing, politics and public life. With a background in investigative journalism and political communications, she brings sharp judgement and a steady, confident approach to issues developing at pace. 

She led communications for the West Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner and later advised the Mayor of West Yorkshire, helping to shape responses to major national and international stories. Dee is known for her expertise in reputation and risk management and for guiding organisations through sensitive and complex situations. 

She works with government bodies, universities, charities and public sector organisations to ensure their communications are clear, credible and properly understood by the people they need to reach. 

Alongside her crisis work, Dee supports charities to articulate their voice on challenging subjects and engage effectively with decisionmakers. She is a trustee of Rett UK, advocating for greater awareness of the realities facing families caring for children with complex needs.
