Schools are often called on to communicate about difficult subjects that can affect their reputations if not handled sensitively and proportionately.  Accidents; arrests; employment disputes; free speech and EDI issues; and allegations of abuse are among the many challenging situations that schools can face – and all come with legal constraints on what can be said, something that adds further complexity.  In this session, Tim Toulmin and Susan Smith – MD and COO of education crisis communications specialists Alder – will discuss how best to navigate this tricky territory in an ever-changing a media, cultural and political environment.
